More worldwide destinations are becoming available to everyone and mainly because more local airports are starting to offer flights that fly further. With most of the UK’s tourists aiming for the south of Europe down in the Mediterranean Sea, many are now considering the tropical paradises that are in the Caribbean like Dominican Republic holidays.
There are many great destinations within the Caribbean islands to choose from but none as popular as Dominican Republic holidays. The majority of the country is coastal, apart from the west side which shares its border with Haiti. You will find a wide variety of accommodation throughout the country from 5 star luxury hotels to more reasonably affordable places, most of which are based around the coasts.
A great place to stay on your Dominican Republic holidays is n the capital Santo Domingo which is located on the south coast. There you will find a good beach but a resort just down the coast called Boca Chica has divine beach with fine sands and shallow sky blue waters that are safe for everyone, including children, to play in. The tropical beauty located on the island is best captured in the many national parks found in various areas, some of the best worth visiting are Parque Nacional de Este, Joe del Carmen Ramirez National Park and National Park Isla Carbritos.
You will find plenty to do during the day on Dominican Republic holidays as well as plenty of fun on the night, though it’s best to keep to the designated tourist areas at night as they remain much safer than more isolated areas. |
