Located just south of Barcelona, Costa Dorada attracts thousands of visitors every year. The miles of golden beaches are ideal for families with small children, with safe waters and plenty of nearby cafes to enjoy a bite to eat. The best time to enjoy family holidays in Costa Dorada is from April to October when the temperatures are at their highest. Travel during July and August to experience the regions hottest temperatures however this is the busiest time to visit Costa Dorada. Families will definitely not be disappointed with the range of attractions and activities available to experience. The Port Adventura theme park is a great place to spend a day in Costa Dorada along with the region’s water park which has slides and pools to suit all ages. Water sports are available on many of the beaches, ideal for the most energetic traveller! Back on dry land families can explore Costa Dorada on foot or even take advantage of the horse riding facilities.

There is a wide range of historical sites to discover including Roman remains in the nearby Tarragot resort. There are traditional villages that offer visitors an insight into the traditional nature of the resort, expect to see some authentic flamenco dancing and sample some of the regions local culinary delights
